Promote critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork
Help students engage actively with their subjects
Build confidence and a sense of accomplishment
Assess the acumen of pupils within these public primary schools
Encourage them to improve on their learning by incentivizing them and providing support for them in their area of weakness.
Consequently the first quiz competition was held in October, 2010 and has been organized annually till date. To expand the scope of the learning opportunity, debate competition was introduced as part of our annual events. Cash prizes and consolation prizes are also given to the best three participating students. The overalll best students are awarded full secondary school scholarship into private schools and the other best two pupils go home with cash prizes. All participating schools and students go home with consolation prizes e.g books, e.t.c

Total Child Education organized its first summer school in August 2011 which hosted about eighty children from the Coker-Aguda environs. Throughout the month of August, these children with the help of volunteer teachers were instructed in different areas of learning including: English, Mathematics, Fine Art, Spelling Bee, ICT, Bead-making, etc.
In 2012, a full ICT summer school program was organized which was centered on ICT programmes. The outstanding students for each class/group were given a complete computer system as prizes by our Corporate sponsor of our ICT Summer School Programme Guinness Nigeria Plc.

Total Chid Educational Foundation commenced After School Clubs in 2013. It was initiated to close the gap and imbalance in the Educational Sector especially as it pertains to children in the Public Primary Schools. We discovered that our first scholarship candidate Ekenedilichukwu Agwu of Aiyetoro Primary School, Aguda required a personal tutor to adequately prepare him for the three examinations he was about to sit for. Ekene passed his exams convincingly, and got admission into Methodist Boys High School V/Island.
This inspired the foundation to start an After School Club to help other children maximize their potentials, meeting the educational needs of children within its community. We believe that “School Learning” alone is not enough for a child’s holistic development hence the After School Club activities present an opportunity to learn something new, directly and indirectly, boosting their performance and contributing to the development of children in a huge way.
These programs offer personalized attention, helping students to thrive academically and emotionally, even in overcrowded school systems.
